I/O is the abbreviation of “Input/Output”.
Computer always perform the process to input the information and output the calculation result, and we call these process as I/O.
If you are working as an engineer, you have to take care about I/O load of hardware or network. The I/O for hard disc is called as “Disk I/O” and for network is called as “network I/O”.
