Systems communicate each other by using IP address(e.g. 1111.1111.1111.1111), but it is hard to understand for we humans. So there is hostname(e.g. google.com), that is converted from IP address.
This transformation is supported by the technology of DNS, so let’s learn about DNS!
How do DNS servers work?
Firstly client ask the IP address by using a FQDN to full service resolver, and full service resolver ask the IP address to authoritative DNS servers.
One of authoritative server is called “root server”. There are only 13 root servers in the world, and root server save domain name.
Furthermore, you can configure the full service resolver from the windows configuration screen.
